The Striped Maple is a small tree all at charming, typical of the deciduous forests of Eastern North America.
Despite its large lobed leaves and bluish bark, marked with yellow and red stripes, it's widely shunned by the Quebec nurseries and landscape architects. This is why you never see it - or almost - in urban areas. Here's the opportunity to rig this singular small tree.
Plant it in shady areas, but watch out for deer and grazers ; they are fond of Striped Maple or Moose Maple of its second name.
